Easiest thing to do is re-install both games - then update them to the same version. Should fix most problems.

2010-12-28 · I tried to play Age of Empires 3 online with gameranger on mac. When the game started it kicked me out saying 'version mismatch' I have the 1.0.5 version which is the lastest. I can play my friends fine on gameranger but when I play against strangers it doesn't work.
